I never would have thought a McD's commercial could be so deep. I'd love to see this taken into a series of commercials.

I to want to see a continuation of this like a series :)

I really liked this commercial and thought it was very well done and I was shocked to the core when I read today that Bill O'Reilly did a piece on it, stating that it was good that a commercial like that would never air in the US and making comparisons between being gay and being a member of El Kaida...What an idiot! Those people at Fox need to be forbidden...there is no excuse for their ignorance!

I think this is a brilliant add. Its gently done and you can imagine it happening just like that. I wish they would have this shown in this country. I am not surprised with their (French) openness, I was raised with it...but it is amazing that McDonald adopted it too. hugs you xoxooxox v

I love how open the French and alot of Europe is to all kinds of people. Now if only New York and California would be more like them.(It's sad that they are so close minded when so many people who move there are gay.) *hugs*

After reading all the comments I have this question, because most of you live in English-speaking countries : is it true such a commercial would never air on tv channels ?

I live in France, and I’m not surprised with this kind of commercial. We’ve actually had quite a few over the years which were openly discussing gays.
It’s true the younger generations here are very open-minded and usually gay-friendly, that’s why I often forget how much this subject is taboo in most countries.

Anyway, I love this ad – besides, the guy’s cute; very, *very* cute.

For the most part most of America would protest this being shown especially were I live in the Midwest. Veeeeeery conservative here I'm in the minority.
