Soft Amish Chocolate Chip Cookies
1/2 C. Shortening
1 C. Sugar
2 lg Eggs
1/2 C. Milk
2 1/2 C.Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
3/4 tsp Baking Soda (place in milk)
1 12oz bag of chocolate chips
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and milk w/soda. Mix together and add baking powder. Gradually add flour and stir well. Stir in chips. Place on greased cookie sheets about 1 t of dough. Bake at 400% until edge is slightly brown. It usually takes 8 minutes.
I guess I just feel like baking more when the cool weather hits. I enjoy turning on the oven more... :) I also drag out my Cappuccino maker.
